Happy Mother's Day

So what is Mother’s Day? Mother’s Day is a celebration dedicated to appreciating all mothers and maternal figures wherever they are in the globe. This day is perfect for showing gratitude and expressing thanks for the support and sacrifices mothers give their children. People take the time and make an effort to acknowledge their moms by giving gifts and quality time. For those that still have their Mother, please make sure you spend quality time with your mother and your childrens' mother.

If the playoffs started today

How the playoff picture looks today

In the AA Division the Piratas de Sinaloa would take the division crown and the #1 seed. This would give them a first round bye and a path straight to the finals. The Naturals would take the last playoff spot over the Motorboaters because the Naturals won the season series. The Naturals would face Pacific Tires in the 1st round.

In the A West Division Mirimire would win the division and have to face the Rangers in the first round. They winner would face the Perros for all the marbles.

In A East Division the Perros would take the division and the top seed. With the top seed they also get a 1st round bye and would wait for the winner of Mirimire and the Rangers.

The B West Division The Rancheros would take the division and the #1 overall seed. This would give the Rancheros a first round bye. The Angels would take the #3 seed and would face the Expos. The RC Dodgers would take the #4 seed. The Dodgers would face the #5 seeded Bean Boys.

In the B East Division the Tomahawks would take the division and the #2 seed. The Bean boys would be the #5 seed and the Expos would end up as the #6 seed. The Tomahawks would face the winner of the #3 seeded Angels and the #6 seeded Expos.

You think this is right?

Do you agree with this?

Hermon coach Aaron Brideau was fired after his pitcher beaned an opponent. Baseball has its share of unwritten rules, and Foxcroft Academy broke just about every one of them. Hermon High school pitcher intentionally pegged a Foxcroft batter. Now Hermon coach Aaron Brideau has been relieved of his duties as a result of it. The events in question happened during a regular-season game between the teams. Leading 8-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Foxcroft's Brooks Law dropped a suicide-squeeze bunt single to score a run giving them a 7 run lead and then proceeded to steal both second and third. Hermon finally fed up with an opposing team stealing 16 bases in a lopsided victory, the unnamed Hermon pitcher reportedly drilled Foxcroft's Caleb Richard with the ensuing pitch. It's unclear if Hermon pitcher hit Richard after receiving direct instructions to do so from Brideau or whether he acted out of his own volition.
As for Foxcroft's excuse for being so aggressive on the basepaths? The Foxcroft Academy Ponies had a doubleheader in two days, so they wanted to mercy rule Hermon as quickly as possible to save two innings of pitching work. Despite that clear disregard for common sportsmanship, it was Foxcroft coach Mark Chevalier who complained to the paper about his foe's poor sportsmanship. “It did seem suspicious because they were clearly getting very frustrated and it felt like the pitcher really reared back and put something extra on that pitch. The final score was 11-1.
“Our kids play the game hard," he told the Daily News, "and they play it the right way. People who understand baseball can see that."
I always thought mercy games are tough. It sucks for the losing team and just as bad for the winning team. I absolutely hated playing in mercy games even if we were the team winning. It just makes a mockery of the game. I just don't believe in embarrassing a team especially when they are already down. I find Foxcroft Academy's excuse of trying to save their pitching for an upcoming doubleheader just a really big pussy of an excuse. Not a fan.

Again I had hope we might be able to play but our fields just really can't take alot of rain. So now we have not played since April 13 and we will not play again no sooner than May 18 thats like 5 weeks. Thats really sucks. Here we are in May and we are still dealing with fucking rain. I just don't believe it.
As you might be able to tell with no games in 5 weeks, there's not much to talk about. About the only thing I see is now our next season won't be able to start until like July.
The reason for the late start is because we will need 3 weeks to finish the playoffs. Speaking of playoffs I know I had mention this before but I really want to have a 2nd round of "playoffs". The bottom 6 to 8 team would play a single elimination series to determine the "Champions of the bottom teams". Do you think this is a good idea? Of course the winner won't get a trophy but maybe a small cash prize.

Illegal Bats

All -5 bats and up are illegal

As we navigate through the 2025 baseball season, it’s important for us to stay updated on the latest changes and regulations that impact our game. One significant update was the decision to ban all drop 5 bats. This decision has been followed by most leagues and almost all nearby leagues. For those unfamiliar, the term "drop" in bat specifications refers to the difference between the length and weight of the bat. A drop 5 bat, for example, is five ounces lighter than its length in inches. There are many brands of -5 bats and I have even seen -10 bats but all -5 and up bats regardless of the brand or model are now banned.
The problem is when big powerful players swing drop 5 bats, the resulting force can be hazardous putting pitchers and infielders are at a higher risk of injury due to the increased exit velocity of balls hit with -5 bats.
We were one of the last leagues to allow -5 bats. In the past we allowed only B division teams to use these bats because we felt the impact would be very minimal. The time has now come to ban -5 bats in our league. By banning drop 5 bats and up, we aim to reduce these risks and ensure a safer playing environment for everyone. Player safety will always been a top priority. We fully support and join other leagues decisions to ban drop 5 bats in play.
